Role ProfileWorking alongside the existing Maintenance team in Belview, this Maintenance Technician role will allow the successful candidate to gain valuable maintenance experience while supporting the delivery of the Belview maintenance strategy and providing maintenance support to the production team.
This will be achieved within a flexible work system, supporting the 24 x 7 operation.
ResponsibilitiesApply sound technical solutions to resolve problems relating to plant efficiencies and to drive continuous improvement.Support and maintain preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance programmes.Assist in delivering planned maintenance schedules in line with production-related requirements.Support the production team in maximising plant readiness and effectiveness.Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime/inefficient operational issues.Manage work and environment such that good manufacturing practices (GMP) are adhered to and pristine plant standards are maintained.Follow plant handover/hand-back procedures and ensure all work is completed, presenting zero risk to product quality and personal safety.Ensure all plant maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.Issue permits to work, adhere to site safety procedures, and identify ongoing safety improvements.Use a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to input data and monitor & evaluate plant performance.RequirementsMechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification.Minimum of 18 months experience in a maintenance/production role within a highly automated food processing environment.Aptitude for troubleshooting, fault finding, and root cause analysis on plant/process issues.Good working knowledge of GMP best practices.Experience operating within, and delivering on, the highest quality standards in the manufacturing sector.Proven ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.Ability to interact with Engineering IT processes such as MES & SAP PM.We offerWork/life balance and collaborative work culture.Career progression opportunities.About usFormerly known as Glanbia Ireland, we are now Tirlán.
