Abbott is a leader in providing enteral nutrition feeding devices, including enteral feeding pumps and pump sets. Enteral feeding (also known as tube feeding) is a means of providing nutrition to people who cannot obtain nutrition by swallowing. Enteral nutrition contains all the calories and vitamins a person needs.
The Maintenance Technician main responsibilities will include:
Primary Function To maintain Plant and Equipment at optimum performance and provide utilities to the Manufacturing Department and General Plant to achieve yearly plan.Minimise downtime in production and utility areas.To install, inspect, adjust, lubricate, troubleshoot, and repair all plant and equipment. To perform routine PM checks on equipment and maintain plant at optimum performance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of plant and equipment across equipment located onsite at Carbury Point and return equipment to operational service in a safe, timely, and professional manner.Attend and provide input into line performance meetings, project meetings, and tiered meetings, as required.To maintain Plant and Equipment at optimum performance to achieve yearly plan volume.Support/Provide input into process improvements and equipment reliability projects.Support/Work on projects which support our manufacturing processes/equipment.Use diagnostic tools for condition monitoring of Plant and Equipment.Carry out plant preventative maintenance programme as scheduled.Responsible for consulting any SOPs for any job task he/she may carry out and ensure they fully understand and adhere to the SOP.Housekeeping is a critical function of all jobs, and the Maintenance Technician is expected to ensure all housekeeping activities are observed and carried out appropriately in adherence to the procedure.It is important that cGMP is a main priority in any operation carried out in this job function. Participate in the development of operations through involvement in process engineering upgrades and automation programmes.Maintain the Preventative Maintenance System.Completion and maintenance of the department calibration program.Support/Work on projects which support our manufacturing processes/equipment.Use diagnostic tools for condition monitoring of Plant and Equipment.Fully complete all PMs and associated documentation.EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES: Min qualification Senior Trade Certificates preferably one of the following: Toolmaking or Mechanical Fitter.Experience of working in a high precision manufacturing industry and proven problem-solving ability on complex equipment.Experience in PLC controlled equipment.Execution of Preventative Maintenance and Calibration.Proven track record or demonstrated ability in the mechanical field.An ability to read diagrams and troubleshoot equipment.Ability to work on platforms, scaffolding & ladders.
