A Management Accountant is an integral position within the finance department.
The key function of this role is to analyse financial information and implement effective strategies to enhance overall business performance.
We are looking for a reliable Management Accountant who will take full ownership of this role, preparing key financial data to assist senior management in making critical business decisions.
The goal is to contribute to the decision-making process of management that will ensure business growth and long-term success.
The management accountant role will be based in our Irish office and will involve reporting for both our Irish & UK companies (UK company based outside of London).
The role will report to both the Financial Controller based in Dublin and the Finance Director based in London.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly management accounts for both Ireland and UK entities with the aim of achieving our targeted monthly close.Ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary systems.Providing commentary explaining the financial performance and MIS reporting.Overview of all credit cards and posting of same.Bank reconciliations.Maintain Fixed Asset Register.Intercompany charges and reconciliations as required.Balance Sheet reconciliations.Variance Analysis reporting.Assistance with preparation of board pack as required.Involvement in Annual Budgeting process.Filing of VAT returns and associated compliance, Intrastat, VIES, and CSO Reporting.Assist with supporting the year-end audit as required.Ad hoc duties as requested by line managers.The PersonExperience Required: Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and performing high-level analysis of financial data.Analysing information, recommending and implementing solutions to management accounting issues.Demonstrated ability to contribute to the team objectives and business goals.Working collaboratively as part of a team.Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and a "can do" attitude in a busy office and service environment.Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices.Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.A problem-solver with attention to detail.Skills: BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or similar field.Relevant certification will be preferred.
