What's so exciting about this role?
Work with the Head of Credit & Risk to deliver a high-quality credit assessment process seeking to minimise bad debts, increase automation and deliver high quality outcomes for the business and the customer. You will lead on strategies to maximise efficiency of the operation and identify areas for improvement of our processes, working together with Customer Service, Collections, Product & Customer Experience, Technical and Business Development Teams. You will be providing high quality credit assessment both through automated and manual decisioning resulting in a responsive customer application process.
What Does An Average Day Look Like?
No day is average athummbut here's an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:
Focus on the day-to-day operations of credit assessment ensuring applications flow smoothly through the various stages to final decision
Responsibility for planning and overseeing efficient management of incoming online credit applications and related queries, managing staff rotas to deliver a business service 7 days a week
Supporting and driving a team of Credit Risk Officers and Application Support Officers to deliver quality lending decisions (both manual and automated), positive customer outcomes and minimise bad debts and fraud
Overseeing training and onboarding/induction of new staff members, and review and development of existing officers
Improving and maintaining day to day processes, procedures and workforce management to improve operational efficiency and capacity
Identifying technical issues and collaborate with technical staff and developers to bring to resolution
Monitoring for fraud and bad debt through data analysis and implementing and updating team awareness and process prevention strategies
Ensure the process and Team remain compliant in line with all regulatory and legal rules and guidelines
Contribute to the development of the business through engagement with other teams and senior leaders to drive efficiency and enhancements to humm's customer service

We're also looking for someone who brings:
QFA qualified or strong knowledge and experience of assessing unsecured lending in the Irish Market
Experience in Credit and affordability assessment to be able to determine application risks (credit and fraud) and make appropriate decisions
Strong attention to detail and notices anomalies and challenges information to ensure accuracy
Ability to retain system and product knowledge and to use own initiative
Ability to implement process changes whilst maintaining focus on key service level deliverables
Takes responsibility for solving problems with an ability to "think outside the box" when required and remain conscious of overall impact of any proposed solutions
Strong customer focus evidencing drive, confidence and planning to deliver against key performance indicators
Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems
Proficiency in MS Excel
