ICON Plc has an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional which will involve working on a broad range of domestic and cross border accounting issues across all of ICON's business.
You will join a professional and expert finance team focused on making an impact globally and supporting ICON's mission – to help its clients accelerate the development of drugs and medical devices that save patient lives and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:Review and deliver full monthly management accounts spanning a portfolio of countries consistent with US GAAP to strict deadlines.Maintain monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure full Trial Balance.Oversee the annual statutory financial statement audits for a portfolio of entities.Lead, develop and strengthen the financial reporting team, including people management, performance management, training & development.Develop solid relationships with various finance and non-finance teams to support the business and contribute to the decision process.Drive continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure finance processes are SOX compliant.Lead and contribute to ad-hoc project work.Ensure compliance with local legislative requirements, including financial documents and tax returns.Liaise with local financial/taxation advisors as required.Build and maintain a strong customer-centric culture within the team.Minimum Requirements:Fully qualified member of an internationally recognized accounting body (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).At least 5 years relevant PQE in financial accounting, management accounting, tax or operational support of a business in an international environment.Experience in leading a team and delivering results.Ability to build positive relationships with other finance and non-finance departments.Ability to lead on own initiative, handle tasks/assignments, and tackle problems.Strong oral and written communication skills.Exposure to shared service/centralized offshore financial reporting environment is preferable but not required.Outstanding teamwork skills.Oracle experience and advanced Excel skills are advantageous.What ICON can offer you:Our success depends on the quality of our people.
