What's the Role: Manager What It Takes: An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care. The ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively, and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, and taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role, and we encourage staff to use their humour, sense of fun, and creativity in supporting our individuals with day-to-day life.
Where You Would Work: Greenville Residential, Co Cork Greenville Residential is a mixed residential service, providing care and support for up to 14 adult individuals with a primary diagnosis of Autism. The service is made up of the main house which can support up to 5 individuals, each having their own bedroom and ensuite bathroom, with access to kitchens and sitting rooms. Attached to the main house is a cottage which accommodates one individual, featuring a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen living area.
On the grounds of Greenville, there are a further 6 cottages, which accommodate 8 individuals. Two cottages accommodate 2 individuals each, and 4 cottages are single occupancy, each with its own kitchen and living area. Each individual has their own bedroom and bathroom.
Staff work in teams based in the individual locations, with each location having a roster that suits the needs of the individuals they support.
