Come join our Manufacturing Team at our new site in Athenry as a Manager,Manufacturing.The position is initially home based which will change over the course of time to 100% on site.
Incumbents at this level will manage and coordinate a department or division within the Dexcom Manufacturing Operations organization.This position will set goals,establishpriorities, manage resources, develop concepts and approaches, review project progress and results, and make management decisions.Operational activities may include planning, developing, building, designing or any other aspect of manufacturing operations work.This jobspendsa significant amount of time managing and directing the operation of the assigned staff.This position will have Shift A (2ndshift) Supervisors reporting to them directly with a dotted line for Shift B (2ndshift) Supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively partners with first shift counterparts to accelerate 2ndshift employee development and success
Influences business partners to ensure 2ndshift Associate / Supervisor needs are satisfied and represented in business decisions
Works on problems or projects of moderate to large scope in which analysis of situation or data requires review of identifiable factors.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determineappropriate action.
Acts as advisor to unit or sub-units.Becomes actively involved asrequiredto meet schedules or resolve problems.
Responsible for ensuringdepartmentis committed to and conforms to the company quality system procedures as documented.
Plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of continuous improvement or operational activities within the assigned department or section.
Supervise subordinate personnelincluding:hiring,determiningworkloadand delegating assignments, training,monitoringand evaluating performance, coaching,initiatingcorrective or disciplinary actions, andestablishingand sustaining long-term human resources and skill requirements for the various manufacturing operations teams.
Coordinate and/or act as a liaison between work units, shifts, departments, functions, corporate partners, etc.
Organize continuous improvement or manufacturing operations department toaccomplishgoals effectively.
Ensure continuous improvement or operations activities are carried outin accordance withspecified guidelines and timeframes.Maintain conformity with company and/or industry rules and regulations within subordinate reporting structure.
Keep abreast of new developments in the continuous improvement or manufacturing fields.
Recommend changes that will result in the most economical cost of design, development,productionor manufacturing.
Participate or drive new product introductions into commercial manufacturing asrequired.
Drive annual and semi-updated departmental budgeting activities.

EducationRequirements:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 5 years related experience (3 of which should be managing direct reports and project leadership roles), orequivalent combination of Education and Experience.
