Overview
Mastercard Checkout Services Product Experience Design team is looking for an experienced Product Experience Design Manager to drive our customer experience design strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, and analytical.
RoleYou will be responsible for creating and supporting user-centered solutions that enhance our product's user experience to scale. This role requires a deep understanding of design principles, a passion for building world-class and highly scalable products, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
As a Product Experience Design Manager you will:
Customer Experience Champion: Collaborate with product stakeholders to ensure a consistent, unified, and high-quality customer experience and user experience across all touchpoints.Experience Research Champion: Participate in all phases of the research and design process from framing the right problem to solve and defining the design target all the way through to defining the vision, and future state experience to the validation of concepts, prototypes or already built products.Fostering Collaboration & Innovation: Contribute to the teamwork by participating in design workshops and reviews, involving partners, and creating collaborative opportunities to cultivate innovation.Project Management Expertise: Manage complex design projects, overseeing scope, timelines and roadmaps to deliver high-quality results that meet established goals.Design Language Guardian: Establish and enforce design standards, ensuring visual design and user experience (UX) decisions align with these standards for a cohesive brand experience.Design System Champion: Practice the usage of a design system across all programs and products.Quality Assurance: Review and approve design deliverables to maintain consistently high-quality standards.All About YouYou are a skilled champion of human-centered design. Experience Design: You have a proven track record of leading product design initiatives, from understanding customer problems and validating solutions through experience research to crafting exceptional user experiences that produce high-quality, intuitive interfaces.Product Savvy: You possess a deep understanding of user experience, business objectives, and the technologies involved in creating well-rounded products.Quality Driven: You have a proven history of delivering high-quality work that consistently meets or exceeds established standards.Critical Thinker & Problem Solver: You possess a sharp mind that questions the status quo, constantly seeking ways to improve and optimize solutions.Industry Awareness: You stay informed about design best practices across multiple industries, continuously seeking inspiration and innovation.Design Thinking: You actively advocate for and have experience with Design Thinking methodology, boasting a successful track record of bringing products to market using this approach.Team Player: You have a demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and productive environment.Required Experience / Knowledge / Skills (Core)An understanding of e-commerce checkout, digital design experiences.Experience in rapid prototyping (Lean UX and Design Thinking).Experience in the implementation of creative, usable, and compelling mockups and prototypes.Experience of designing across multiple media.Experience using Figma as their primary design tool (or other tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch).Experience creating and managing Figma asset libraries.Experience delivery of Figma designs to technology/development teams.Experience designing for accessibility standards.An understanding of complex information architectures for digital applications, SDKs/APIs.Nice to have skills:Micro-animation.UX Research.CSS/HTML/JSON.Corporate Security ResponsibilityEvery person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security.
