Manager, QA Solutions Tech Lead

ROLE SUMMARY The Digital Quality (DQ) Solution Center, an integral function within PGS Creation Center, serves as a catalyst for transformation by delivering advanced solutions that revolutionize Quality Operations. Our mission is to empower and optimize the performance of our Laboratory (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams. Through the automation of processes and the implementation of innovative technologies, we enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our employees, leading to improved outcomes and elevated standards across the board. With a focus on continuous improvement and excellence, we strive to revolutionize the way Quality Operations are conducted within Pfizer Global Supply (PGS).

The Manager, QA Solutions Tech Lead will be responsible for providing technical oversight of the eQMS solution (Veeva Vault QMS). This involves providing leadership to the technical colleagues, development teams, DevSecOps teams and partners. They will develop the technical strategy and roadmap for eQMS ensuring the solution is developed and maintained optimally reducing technical debt.

This individual plays a critical role ensuring the software developed meets the business needs and works within the SAFe Agile framework.

The colleague must have a strong CI (Continuous Improvement) and Innovative mindset and be comfortable taking appropriate risks to achieve desired results and drive the adoption of innovative technologies. The colleague should bring an elevated level of business knowledge in relation to the Quality Assurance area and its processes.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES The Manager, QA Solutions Tech Lead colleague's responsibilities include but are not limited to: Overseeing the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of the Pfizer eQMS solution Play a mentorship role on all technical operations of the eQMS solution, this involves providing direction & oversight to technical and development teams. Ensure process improvement initiatives are planned, executed, and reviewed as needed for continuous improvement. Serve as a subject matter expert within the Digital team, train and educate the eQMS Technical colleagues as necessary Be a strategic thinker in developing/adapting DevSecOps practices to support eQMS Continuously assess eQMS architecture and work with the Vendor teams in future-proofing the eQMS system for projects in pipeline Champions change and effectively manages the implementation of new ideas while ensuring technical debt is not accrued over time Liaison with various departments and cross-functional solution owners in building/maintaining robust integrations with the eQMS Partner with eQMS Solution Owners, other Technical leads, Deployment Team, Release Manager and all other vendors in bringing in transparency and visibility in conflict resolution Assist in the maintenance and prioritization of eQMS user stories, enablers & defect backlog Collaborate with business and development teams to define and estimate sizing of user stories, enablers & defects Lead and contribute in translating the user stories into technology Manage technical deliverables and ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget Oversee external resources to ensure commitments are met Demonstrate and promote agile ways of working Ensure solutions are maintained in a compliant state in accordance to the ADLC (Agile Development Lifecycle) for all software and tools as applicable. Act as a delegate for the eQMS Solution Owners as required BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline. 6+ years of project management experience Proven experience with software development process and software development life cycle Proven experience with digital products life cycle Experience with Agile, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) preferred Experience within Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Operations. Knowledge of auditing practices. Strong written and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to colleagues at all levels including executive levels Ability to train colleagues on innovative technologies and experiences Experience in all stages of system and application lifecycle from value analysis, business case development, solution deployment through value realization A thorough understanding of system GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements and demonstrable knowledge of computer system design and maintenance lifecycle in GMP environments. Strong experience in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of financial management and procurement activities ADDITIONAL DETAIL Ability to travel up to 25%.
