Managing Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a long-established and multi-award winning national main contractor with offices throughout Ireland.
Renowned for the successful delivery of large-scale projects on time and on budget, they specialise in new build Commercial, Education, Healthcare & leisure Projects, ranging from £30M-100M in value.
Due to a number of contract wins for the company, they wish to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial activities on a £60M Commercial Project in Dublin.
As a Tier 1 contractor, you will report to the Commercial Manager and be supported by two Project Surveyors. You will have a proven track record in planning, coordinating, and reporting on all commercial activities to maximise profit. The ideal candidate will have worked as the lead surveyor on similar projects and be able to influence the entire commercial approach to the benefit of the project.
Managing all commercial aspects of the project, responsibilities will include:
Cost control through efficient planning, forecasting, and estimatingValuations and VariationsReviewing tendersProcurement of sub-contractors, equipment, and materialsRegular reporting to directors and the client and preparing relevant documentsThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, including direct contact with clientsAbility to work to programmes and meet deadlinesA good understanding of the construction process from an operations perspectiveExperience working as the commercial lead on €10m+ new build projectsA minimum of 10 years' industry experienceA degree in Quantity SurveyingThe role of Senior Quantity Surveyor comes with a market-leading salary plus a company car or car allowance, travel expenses, healthcare, and pension, with various additional add-ons/supplements also available.
