Job Description: OBJECTIVES OF POSITION: Support Production in a number of ways:Achieve daily and weekly targets on designated manufacturing linesEnsure equipment is performing to specificationIdentify & drive process improvement initiativesProvide customer support through direct involvement on Customer Focus TeamsDrive root cause investigations into Line and Quality issues that may ariseSupport Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve process capability and reduce costEnsure the smooth introduction of new products in a high volume production environmentAbility to apply and implement concepts of Lean ManufacturingRESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor machine performance in real time to maximise production outputSpecify, install and support production equipmentSupport ongoing PM activities & techniques to minimise m/c downtime and maximize Yield performanceSupport Line reconfiguration and machine movesProvide Technical reports on process issuesProvide DFM input on New Product Developments as requiredCarry out Process Capability analyses & identify appropriate corrective actionsQuality: Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirementsHealth & Safety: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and RegulationsMEASUREMENTS: Completion of in house training programmeUnderstand, Use and improve in house ProceduresImproved line yields and overall quality of productsMeeting line targets and Project TimelinesPERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: NFQ Level 8 Degree in Engineering or lower level degree with suitable work experience (Electronic/Mechanical/Industrial)Experience in Regulated High Volume Manufacturing EnvironmentExcellent equipment knowledge and process debug troubleshoot skillsGood communication and influencing skillsA compliance mindset and a high level of attention to detail in following procedures and completing documentationDESIRABLE: Lean practice implementationUnderstanding of Process CapabilityUnderstanding of MSA (Measurement System Analysis) & GR&R (Gauge Repeat & Reduction)
