Abbott Ireland In Ireland, Abbott employs over 5,000 people across nine sites. Diabetes Care Kilkenny Our new manufacturing facility in Kilkenny, opening in 2024, reflects the growing demand for Abbott's global Diabetes Care products. The facility will be a center for world-class engineering, quality, medical device manufacturing, and other science-based professionals to produce life-changing technologies, including the FreeStyle Libre 3, a system that automatically delivers real-time, up-to-the-minute glucose readings, with the smallest and thinnest wearable glucose sensor that provides unsurpassed 14-day accuracy and optional glucose alarms directly to smartphones. This enables people with diabetes to live the best and fullest lives they can.

This is how you can make a difference at Abbott: In this role, you will be in charge of applying subject matter knowledge in the area of Pharmaceutical/Biological Process. You will require the capacity to apply skills/knowledge within the context of specific needs or requirements.
It will be a very big plus if you can bring experience in developing projects or sites from square one.
As Process Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Implementing and maintaining pharmaceutical/biological processes.Calculating and organizing all data for complex process flow sheets including instrumentation and control considerations.Modeling processes and units operations.Ensuring proper sequence of operation and preparing specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment.Conducting tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over such variables as temperature, density, pressure, and viscosity.Servicing, troubleshooting, and solving engineering problems with processes or equipment already in operation.Ensuring processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.Being responsible for corrective and preventive actions and investigation management.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing/Science.Minimum 2 years experience in the Engineering/Manufacturing/Scientific field.Connect with us at www.abbott.com or https://www.ie.abbott/, on LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/company/abbott-, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Abbott and on Twitter @AbbottNews.
