We are looking for a Manufacturing Support Technician to join our expanding team in Mervue, Galway! The successful candidate will perform troubleshooting and repair Production Machinery and carry out preventative maintenance as required.

As our Manufacturing Support Technician, you'll support HID's success by: Providing comprehensive 1st line technical service solutions and product support to internal and external customersInterfacing with other departments in the resolution of technical problemsEvaluating new products to understand functions and features, and to assist employees with product informationProviding feedback to engineering, production and product management regarding product problems, enhancements, customer requirementsWriting Shift ReportsChanging over machines to different product familiesCarrying out First Article Inspection and sending the reportsCarrying out Preventive Maintenance on production machinesAssisting in continuous improvement of products and proceduresTroubleshooting, optimizing and resolving equipment related problemsCompleting and retaining technical documentationAdhering to company policies and proceduresAdhering to all safety procedures at all timesComplying with all environmental health and safety proceduresAttending training sessions when requiredWhat we will love about your background: Must be able to communicate in the English languageMust be able to read and interpret work orders, manuals, specifications, and similar documentsMust have basic mathematical skillsMust have strong troubleshooting skills and finding the root cause (with example and proof preferably)Must have the ability to use personal computer to enter and retrieve data, generate reports, print and etc.Minimum requirements for Excel and Word.Your Experience and Education include: Must have an Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have a minimum of 1-2 years Technician experienceWhy apply?
