Purpose:
Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in equipment set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Work on Mechanical/Electronic troubleshooting, hardware/software interfacing.
Responsible for machine performance and up time.
Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures and routines in assigned process/es or area/s.
Assists in implementing technical improvements.
Responsible for identifying, sourcing and replenishment of all equipment spares.
Perform equipment qualifications.
Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment changes and improvements.
Interface with a variety of BSCI personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.
Lead product quality investigations and liaise with other support functions such as quality, SQE, design, manufacturing and x-site functions as required.
Good communication skills are essential, will be required to communicate complex technical investigations to non-technical teams. Provides support for Manufacturing Engineering and any other internal customers as required.
Provide technical training and mentorship to other technicians as required
Participates in the Material Review Board (MRB) decision process.
Performs routine and some non-routine technical assignments using standard methods and sequences. Assignments will require limited engineering judgment in troubleshooting proven processes. and assisting with resolution of complex quality and manufacturing issues.
Follows procedures and has knowledge of how MPI's, TPI's, drawings, etc. are used. Operate to the highest safety and 5s standards on a daily basis and encourage others to follow suit.
Expert in Quality Systems expertise e.g. MRB, eCAPA, MES with strong Windchill knowledge - Full Fast Track CN; which links in with Product Functionality & Genealogy Knowledge
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Level 6 Technical Qualification in Engineering
Previous experience in the Medical Device industry.
