The Role Day-to-day management of Road Opening Licenses on the MRL System is essential for delivering projects efficiently and within budget. The Team is responsible for enabling the provision and operational support of the client's products to their residential and business customers.
Role Requirements Essential Experience using the "Map Road Licensing System" A good knowledge of civil practices for road openings, repair, and reinstatement with a good knowledge of the 'Purple Book' requirements Four years of relevant experience. Desirable 'Purple Book' accreditation SLG accreditation IT Literate – knowledge of using Microsoft Applications Knowledge of Fiber / CATV and RF Network design Knowledge of Local Authorities' roadworks codes of practice Project planning and coordination skills Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities Submit daily Road Opening License requests via the MRL system to include all required elements. Complete any edit requests the Local Authority raises where applicable, i.e., supply revised drawings / TMPs, etc., when necessary. Once the Local Authority approves, identify any special requests/terms & accept the Conditions. Monitor and Track Valid Licenses through to the closeout stage. Submit "start/stop" notifications and work particulars 7 days before the work commencement date. Monitor and submit essential License Extensions on the MRL system and notify Contractors. Ensure all work documents are received and aligned with the project, i.e., before/during/after photos, TMPs, TLSO invoices, etc. Gather all the relevant information, such as reinstatement measures/photos, to complete the License closeout (T5). Track License validity dates for Final Inspection / Signoff. Run daily/weekly reports from the MRL System to ensure overall compliance.
