The Marketing Lead role in Ireland is responsible for the preparation and implementation of a customer-focused marketing and sales strategy, facilitating delivery of the required level of brand awareness in specified areas. The role includes strategic marketing responsibilities for specific products. This role is crucial in communicating the strategy, messaging, and positioning of Pfizer Healthcare Ireland brands to identified stakeholders. This senior role reports to the defined Business Lead in Ireland and plays a central part in the strategic planning and operational planning process.
Marketing Strategy and PlanningLeads a cross-functional team effort to deliver seamless integration of Global franchise strategy into local country business.
Responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate strategic plans that meet business needs in the country, aligned with Global strategic direction, ensuring the delivery of growth and associated revenues targets and the required level of brand awareness.
Ensure successful rollout of omni-channel marketing campaigns and other tactical commercial initiatives in line with approved plans and OPEX budgets.
Accountable for the development of the brand/portfolio area operational plan, including the delivery of a robust revenue forecast, based on clearly defined and documented assumptions.
Accountable for the planning and management of local budget as agreed for areas of responsibility. Demonstrate compliant use of financial systems and processes.
Source and manage external agencies as appropriate to provide required level of expertise in specific areas e.g., advertising, market research, analytics.
Liaise with Supply Chain to ensure continuous product supply and manage issues as needed.
Key Customer InteractionInteract and develop excellent relationships with key customers and national opinion leaders.
Execute customer-focused tactical plans to promote designated medicines and deliver defined revenue targets.
Collaboration with Global and Country Marketing TeamsRegularly communicate progress on strategy and marketing initiatives to above country teams.
Interact with Global and EU country brand colleagues to raise Irish share of voice within the organisation at face-to-face meetings and at international congresses.
Align new marketing materials consistent with Global guidance.
Ensure high internal visibility of the Irish Business internationally.
Proactive collaboration with peers in-country, sharing initiatives and best practices.
Key Relationships – Internal & ExternalIreland commercial, medical, digital, health & value colleagues.
European Global and country marketing teams.
Other support functions and enablers, mainly Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, Access, Regulatory, Business Technology and Corporate Affairs.

REQUIRED SKILL SETEducationDegree level qualification in Marketing, Business, Science or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical experience in marketing, medical or sales.

High technical ability on handling and communicating complex clinical evidence.
Positive "can do attitude" with self-motivation, energy, and drive.
Attention to detail coupled with an ability to plan, prioritise and multi-task.
Strong numeracy and data analysis skills and passion for harnessing data and extracting insights to drive campaign performance.
To be highly competent and experienced in the use of a full range of office productivity tools and applications i.e. MS office suite (in, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, MS project).
