Job DescriptionRole Overview: This is an exciting role in the marketing department of Elavon Europe. You'll be working closely with the Product and Go-to-Market teams to help bring to life the product roadmap, and help drive adoption, revenue, and retention, with relevant customer offers and content.
This role is not about doing demos or presenting product features. Rather, this role is the glue that binds our product strategy to the tactics we need to drive success in sales and marketing and to achieve results. You will be the product evangelist and will be focused on the question, "How will people know that this product solves their problem?" You will deeply understand the target audience's everyday challenges and can succinctly explain how our solutions help solve customer problems. Through close collaborations with product owners, marketing content designers and writers, and go-to-market managers, the product marketing manager will be able to shape effective marketing content.
Key responsibilities: Shape product marketing campaigns that target prospective customers. Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.Improve and optimise Elavon's product marketing content output. Be the expert on our users, who they are, how they use and their key criteria for use. Continue to re-evaluate how product is seen to boost value.Oversee any brand activity, product design and other forms of marketing to maintain consistency in branding. Take proactive steps to maintain positive brand experiences.Set product marketing budgets and track spend, always with an eye for ROIConvert prospects into paying customers through consistent communicationsUnderstand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.Develop a marketing plan for products in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers.Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programmes on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Skills & experience required: Proven robust product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Marketing Cloud and Pardot, and Google Analytics, with a deep understanding of market trends and product lifecyclesExceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn't—workingMust be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer.Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
