We are currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join a dynamic team in Limerick, supporting a wide range of engineering projects.
This permanent position offers a substantial portfolio of work for the next 5+ years, along with significant career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the administration of the Time Management System (TMS), ensuring accurate wage payments based on TMS readings.
Support the processing of weekly payroll for over 1,000 employees during peak periods, ensuring compliance with all payroll regulations.
Prepare payroll data, taxes, company payments, deductions, and employee benefits program data.
Provide payroll updates and monthly changes to the relevant outsourced payroll provider.
Work closely with the HR function to ensure smooth data flow between HR systems and payroll processing.
Collaborate with the Finance Department and Payroll Manager to maintain up-to-date payroll records.
Proactively identify and implement process improvements within the payroll function.
Ensure payroll compliance with tax regulations and internal company policies.
Administer and manage employee benefit programs.
Handle inquiries related to time records, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Provide payroll support for subcontractors, labor agencies, and internal teams.
Conduct regular audits and assist with risk and control processes.
Complete other ad-hoc duties as necessary, including occasional site visits.
Required Qualifications & Skills: A diploma in payroll or previous payroll experience.
Experience with Time Management Systems (TMS) and payroll systems.
At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar office environment.
Proficiency in using payroll and time management software.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
