Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler - II - FSR Level - O2 to join a pharmaceutical operations team we are working with.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant handling, storage, and transportation of materials used in the manufacturing and packaging of pharmaceutical products.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and pharmaceutical industry standards.
Key Responsibilities: Material Handling: Safely receive, store, and distribute raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods within the facility.
Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and inventory of materials in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Inventory Management: Perform inventory checks and cycle counts regularly.
Report discrepancies and assist with reconciling inventory discrepancies in collaboration with the inventory control team.
GMP Compliance: Ensure materials are stored and handled in accordance with GMP guidelines and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, cGMP).
Maintain cleanliness and organization in material storage areas.
Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or automated systems in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure equipment is regularly inspected and maintained.
Documentation: Accurately complete required documentation, including receiving reports, material transfers, and other related records.
Ensure all documentation is compliant with internal and external auditing standards.
Material Transfers: Coordinate and execute material movements between warehouse and production areas.
Prepare materials for production runs and ensure timely delivery to meet production schedules.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety training.
Identify and report safety hazards in the workplace.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality control, and other departments to ensure materials are available as needed and meet production schedules.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and logistics functions.
Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in material handling, preferably within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or GMP-regulated environment.
Certifications: Forklift certification and/or any other relevant material handling certifications are a plus.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory management software, barcoding systems, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is preferred.
Knowledge: Understanding of GMP, safety standards, and regulatory requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry.
