Your new job Key duties & responsibilities: Risk Management & Compliance: Identify and mitigate safety risks through inspections, risk assessments, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Safety Culture Leadership: Promote and develop a proactive safety culture by leading awareness campaigns, training sessions, and toolbox talks for employees and managers.
Incident Response & Reporting: Investigate incidents to identify root causes, implement action plans, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting on safety metrics.
Health & Safety Systems: Implement and maintain the H&S management system, safety statements, and documentation to ensure operational excellence and legal compliance.
Team Collaboration & Training: Partner with site management and teams to continuously improve safety standards while delivering engaging training programs and practical safety solutions.
What are we looking for?
Minimum of 5 years in H&S management or supervisory roles, ideally in manufacturing, with a proven track record of driving safety culture & implementing effective systems.
NEBOSH, QQI, or equivalent diploma-qualified, and a technical member of IOSH (or equivalent).
Confidence in applying H&S legislation to fit organizational systems is essential.
Hands-On Leadership: Energetic and engaging communicator who thrives on the floor, partnering with operations to create practical, impactful safety solutions.
Adaptable Problem-Solver: Capable of interpreting legislation and aligning it with business systems while enhancing established standards.
Experience managing both H&S and Environmental responsibilities is a plus.
Collaborative & Proactive: A confident leader with a strong partnership approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver training, drive engagement, and build a proactive safety culture.
