What you need to know: Our client, a leading national company in the manufacturing of bread and bakery products, are currently seeking a QA Managerto join their team in Wexford.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent salary.
The role will suit an experienced professional, particularly one with a background and experience Food Safety and Quality Systems.
The candidate is required to ensure good manufacturing practices are in place, operational and maintained to meet all customer & legal requirements & to ensure a high level of food safety, quality, authenticity and legality in all products produced.
As a member of the bakery management team the Quality Manager will contribute cross functionally to achieve the annual business objectives.
Your new job Key duties & responsibilities: Responsibility for the Quality Food Safety systems on site to include although not exhaustive: HACCP / Plant Hygiene / GMP / Pest Control / Internal Audits / Customer Complaints Monday to Friday role with Saturdays as required.
Ensuring the systems in place deliver product quality to agreed specifications consistently Responsible for all matters relating to food safety and encouraging / promoting Quality Culture throughout the company Working closely with site Management and Team Leaders to lead a culture of continuous improvement Training of all staff on site Play a key role in audits on site i.e.
3rd Party, customer, regulatory Management of the site hygiene department Management of contract cleaning Planning and implementing corrective / preventative actions as required Ensure company policy and operational standards are always maintained Identify and action cost reductions Complete your duties while working in line with the site Health & Safety requirements What are we looking for?
