AA Euro Group has been retained by a large Irish Mechanical Contractor to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a role based in this client's Cork headquarters.

The Role:Leading in the delivery of project detailed design and documentation, as required, including assisting with the production of technical, and related reportsManaging the H&S system relevant to work areaParticipating in work activities which support the Quality Management systemEnsuring 90% achievement in due date delivery of serviceChecking project documentation, drawings and calculations, as requiredCo-ordinating project engineering design activities with little supervisionDirecting junior staff in the completion of detailed design calculationsEnsuring all design calculations are in accordance with the requirements of the clients QA systemCarrying out site surveys and attending site meetingsCo-ordinating services drawingsLeading the compilation of detailed specifications and tender documentationProducing detailed services budgets (construction costs)Ensuring an understanding of project management objectivesFollowing defined goalsFollowing training plansMaintaining CPDMeeting appraisal goalsRequirements:Degree qualified (Level 8) with 5 years minimum post graduate experienceHold a good knowledge of practical design in Building Services, including Commercial, Industrial and Healthcare projectsBe motivated and capable of directing activities of junior staffTake responsibility for delivering good quality engineering designs across a range of projectsHighly motivated with a successful track record in project and service deliveryA good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering within the Commercial, Industrial and Healthcare Industries (is desirable)Office based design ability, from proposal through to project completionBasic understanding of specific building services design tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, HEVACOMP and similarPlease contact Darren O Keeffe on +353 85 8665682 or email your CV to ******
