Responsibilities Design of Mechanical Services installations for Buildings typical in the Educational, Healthcare & Commercial Sectors, including but not limited to HVAC, Water Services, Soils & Wastes, Gas, Control systems to current regulations and design standards.
o Demonstrate a strong technical ability in all aspects of Mechanical Engineering Services & Design.
o Lead & manage a small Team of Junior & Intermediate Engineers.
o Work directly with clients and project engineers to define project requirements and develop & Design technical solutions.
o Develop and agree design processes and design deliverables.
o Produce accurate Budget estimates for projects, assess Contractor progress claims & variations.
o Lead projects from an M&E Design perspective, including, answering Technical Queries, design development, services coordination, review of technical submittals, manage & co-ordinate timely delivery of Design changes, drawing updates etc during the course of the project.
o Mentor, train and develop junior and intermediate engineers on the Team.
Requirements o Degree / Diploma in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering o Ideally 5 years + post graduate design experience with an engineering consultancy.
o Ability to lead & deliver project Designs with minimal input from Management .
o Demonstrated experience in a client facing role.
o Strong communication & presenting skills.
o Knowledge & experience of current Design Guides, Building Regulations (incl BCAR process) EN Standards.
o Proficient in AutoCAD, experience in BIM/ Revit advantageous, but not essential.
