The Mechanical Engineer in the R&D department will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new cooling solutions for data centres.
This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing our cooling technologies to meet the growing demands of data centre operations.
Key Responsibilities Work closely with cross-functional teams to support new product development.Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.Provide technical support and guidance during the production and implementation phases of new products.Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the R&D department.Work closely with the R&D lab team to perform performance testing and validation on prototypes, documenting results and iterating designs based on findings.Assist with prototype builds to better understand design and drive improvement.Key Skills Knowledge of HVAC components and systemsStrong engineering experience in the field of mechanical system design in an OEM environment.Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.Strong abilities in documentation, project management, and organizational skills.Experience with prototype development, testing methodologies, and data analysis.Experience with sheet metal design & piping systems design.Experience with process cooling water systems design.Experience with refrigeration system design is a significant advantage.Experience with SolidWorks.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development industry experience.We are MuntersJoin Munters and become part of a dynamic team shaping the future of climate solutions.
