Our Client is Ireland's Leading premier container terminal based in Ringsend Dublin. They are currently looking to hire a Mechanical Fitter to join their site based in Dublin.
The successful candidate will be working within a well-established Maintenance Team across a rolling shift pattern to carry out reactive maintenance efficiently, effectively, and safely.
Job Responsibilities:Complete planned and reactive maintenance work in an effective and safe manner.Carry out hands-on maintenance work on mechanical and electrical plant, machinery and equipment.Carry out fabrication work.Operate plant and machinery as required.Deliver a safe personal working culture.Complete the workload as stipulated by the Maintenance Manager.Attend to unplanned failures in a timely manner to meet reliability targets.Complete work orders via SAP tablet based Safety Culture system to complete work activity and relevant documentation.Report parts and materials deficits via SAP without delay.Suggest tactical decisions to the Maintenance manager to stay on schedule.Demonstrate commitment to multi-skilled activity where appropriate.Notify Engineer Manager/Team Leader of all operational issues affecting delivery to plan without delay.Required to plan own work to minimise time lost.Communicate accurate information to the Maintenance manager.Foster good relationships with internal stakeholders, in particular the Operations Team.Job Requirements:Time Served of relevant Mechanical experience in a heavy industrial environment.National Trade Craft Certificate essential.An assertive individual who demonstrates a willingness to progress within the company.Demonstrated commitment to maintaining Health and Safety standards.Ability to work at Heights.A strong understanding of motors and hydraulics.Excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to use fault-finding diagnostic equipment.If you would like more information on this role you can contact Paul Dunican at ****** or call (090) 641 7022.
