Mechanical Project Engineer

We are seeking for our client a Project Engineer to oversee an exciting mechanical engineering project in the Longford region, on a permanent, full-time basis. About the Role Supported by the wider Project Management and Engineering teams, the Project Engineer will be reporting to the Project Manager and will work on our key projects, assisting in carrying the project through to successful completion.
Key duties of the role include, but are not restricted to: Generating project schedules in conjunction with project teamPreparation of weekly and monthly progress reportsProject engineering submissions and value engineeringProject procurement and materials managementProject build review and interaction with co-contractorsDesigning in 3D using AutoCAD 3D softwareDesigning systems and components that meet needs and requirementsConducting experiments methodically, analysing data and interpreting resultsTest and evaluate theoretical designsEvaluating final product's overall performance, reliability and safetyAltering and modifying designs to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctionsEnsuring client satisfactionAbout You The ideal candidate will be organised and efficient, pay strong attention to detail and be a good communicator.
You will:
Possess a relevant 3rd level qualification, at level 8 or aboveHave a good level of knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit & BIM software systemsHave at least 3 years relevant work experience in a similar roleHave an interest in working within the Construction industryBe comfortable in use of Microsoft Office, with the ability to generate detailed monthly reportsBe conscientious, have excellent attention to detail and an ability to multitaskHave a positive attitude with a passion to learn & succeed, an energetic approach and an ability to take accountabilityThe ability to contribute comfortably as part of a teamWillingness and ability to travel within Ireland (essential)A strong remuneration and benefits package is on offer for the right candidate.
