Job DescriptionOur client are an Irish owned company.
They work in multiple sectors including; Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Education, Corporate, Government, Public Buildings, and Retail.They are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team in Cork.
This full-time permanent role would be suited to an individual with a strong mechanical background, either by trade or an engineer.
Lead projects from the concept stage right through to completion, while defining the technical requirements of the projectCreating and developing project plans as per the scope to include defining a timeline, managing costs and establishing the resources required while ensuring project profitabilityEstablish and maintain strong relationships with the client, suppliers and other partnersManage client concerns and ensure they are dealt with in a thorough and timely mannerLead, develop and retain staff while ensuring the delivery of an efficient & effective servicePlanning of all resources including labour, materials and subcontractorsManage the procurement process for all electrical projects to include the pricing of contracts, projects and tenders for the Facilities Management and Project TeamsManage and drive a large team to meet all project requirements and deadlinesManage, direct and co-ordinate the activities of contracted personnel and/or third partiesManage & authorise staffing requirements on site (i.e.
overtime) and notify the HR Department of any unscheduled absences.
Staffing requirements should be documented and reviewed on a weekly basisEnsure that records are maintained and updated as requiredProvide reports and updates on the progress of projects to the senior management teamEnsure Company systems are implemented correctly upon the commencement of projects to include Safe Work Plans, Method Statements and Risk Assessments, etc.Ensure all projects are completed to the highest specification in terms of quality, Health and Safety along with client satisfactionProactively enhance and improve the service delivered by Sensori Facilities ManagementEnsure Company systems are implemented correctly upon the commencement of projects to include Safe Work Plans, Method Statements and Risk Assessments, etc.Ensure all projects are completed to the highest specification in terms of quality, Health and Safety along with client satisfactionProactively enhance and improve the service delivered by Sensori Facilities ManagementAct as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansionAny other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business.RequirementsDegree qualified in either an engineering discipline or with a Mechanical Trade background Minimum of 8 years' extensive experience in a fast-paced construction environmentIn-depth knowledge of Mechanical and Construction industry essentialExcellent people management skills with exceptional communication skills, with experience of leading a team, delegating work and delivering a project in line with the programAbility to drive projects while working under pressure and within strict deadlines Motivated self-starter, who can work both independently or as part of a team Proficient in IT literacy with the ability to collate and generate detailed site reportsPackage€70k - €90k Salary negotiable for the right candidate.Full time Permanent Position.
