Annual Salary Range: from € 42,392.00 to € 70,800.00
Responsibilities Include:Report to the Chief Medical Scientist of their assigned section or to designated senior staff when required.Participate in the Quality Management System (QMS) as defined in ISO 15189 and other associated guidelines.Participate in quality assurance activities.Test and process samples and prepare products.Operate automated testing systems, maintain equipment, validate testing kits, prepare samples for testing, and record and report results.Promote continuing education and research activities.Attend laboratory training as required.Assist in writing and updating laboratory documentation.Participate in training of staff and maintenance of training records.Perform routine work to the highest professional standards.Ensure quality of work and adhere to the Board's policy.Maintain confidentiality regarding hospital information.Participate in internal and external quality control and assurance.Provide appropriate statistical and management information and reports.Engage in the laboratory's computer integrated management system.Utilize developments in information technology for patient care and administrative support.Manage reagents and blood products to minimize waste.Comply with Mercy University Hospital's Health and Safety standards.Perform other duties as assigned by laboratory management.Person Specification / Selection Criteria: Must be eligible for CORU and registered.Fulfill qualifications and eligibility criteria as outlined by the DOH&C.Possess requisite knowledge and ability for the role.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Problem-solving ability and rational decision-making skills.Strong diagnostic skills.High level of commitment to quality tasks.Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.Demonstrate flexibility, enthusiasm, and willingness to cooperate.Experience in a relevant discipline.Closing Date: 1pm, Friday 8th November 2024.
