Job Title: Staff grade Medical Scientist (Biochemistry, Blood Transfusion, Microbiology, and Haematology) Location: Cork Job type: Permanent Meet your potential employer: Charlene Cooke Healthcare Recruitment is excited to partner with a highly reputable hospital in Cork to recruit a CORU registered Staff GradeMedical Scientist for its expanding multidisciplinary laboratory.
The successful candidate will be required to work across several key disciplines, including Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Microbiology, and Biochemistry.
Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Staff Grade Medical Scientist to join an expanding multidisciplinary laboratory within a hospital in Cork.
The successful candidate will be trained in Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Microbiology, and Biochemistry to be able to work the "call rota".
What you'll need to succeed: Proven experience working in a clinical laboratory setting, ideally in an Irish hospital environment.
Hold full registration with CORU.
Demonstrated experience inHaematology and Blood Transfusion, or Microbiology or Biochemistry.
Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.
Proficient with ISO15189 compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biomedical Sciences from an approved University OR Possess the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin Street or the Regional Technical College, Cork awarded prior to 1994 Hold full registration with CORU.
Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine Previous experience in Haematology, Biochemistry, Blood transfusion or Microbiology in a clinical laboratory laboratory setting in Ireland/UK.
Experience of ISO15189 compliance.
