Pay Scale- €18.30 -€ 28.61 per hour depending on previous relevant public sector experience
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Secretary for a temporary Grade IV position in Newcastle West, Limerick. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our medical team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities: Manage patient appointments and scheduling. Maintain and update patient records with confidentiality. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls. Prepare and process medical documents and reports. Assist with billing and insurance claims processing. Coordinate with medical staff to support patient care activities. Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry. Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in medical terminology. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and medical software applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Previous experience in a medical administrative role preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with audio typing or dictation is an advantage.
