Meeting & Events Manager – Clayton Hotel Galway We have a fantastic new vacancy for Meeting & Events Manager in the excellent Clayton Hotel Galway.

Objective of the Role Reporting to the F&B Manager & Deputy General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for organising & planning, managing the cost-effective operation in the Meeting & Events department, including conference & banqueting room setup and the serving of all food & beverage products. The successful candidate will strive to ensure the guest experience is the finest experience possible.

Discounted gym membership with Club Vitae Oranmore. Key Duties and Responsibilities To reflect and enhance the hotel's mission statement and objectives in all activities. To take a leading role in the development and coordination of the business plan for the Meeting & Events Department in conjunction with the Sales Department. To liaise closely with the Sales Department and the Wedding & Events Manager. To participate in the control of the Meeting & Events Department payroll and other operating costs. To ensure appropriate quality standards are adhered to at all times. To ensure appropriate levels of customer care are delivered at all times. To maintain controls appropriate to ensure maximum profitability. To maximise financial opportunities and to achieve a selling environment throughout the Meeting & Events Department, ensuring that financial targets are met. To maintain good team relations in the Meeting & Events department ensuring fairness and consistency in all dealings with staff members. To ensure daily team briefings are held in the Meeting & Events department. To chair Meetings & Events meetings as appropriate. To provide support where necessary in all areas of the hotel. To maintain a high level of security throughout the Meeting & Events Department through monitoring and ensuring that all items are charged for. To meet all regular clients at every opportunity and to create an atmosphere of openness and integrity. Requirements: Previous experience. Experience in training, motivating, and managing a team to deliver the highest level of service possible. Experience with large and small functions from start to finish as you will be one of the points of contact. Excellent organisational skills. Excellent communication skills.
