The Opportunity The Software Engineer I will join the IsMet development team and will be responsible for developing code to deliver new functionality for the IsMet Sales application across the EMEA region for MetLife.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a team within a large ADM program, working with both local remote people with opportunities for skills and personal growth in an environment promoting teamwork and innovation.
Success in this role requires Java, Angular and SQL knowledge.
The Software Engineer I is responsible for development and contributing to the team on a daily basis.
Youll collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Leads, Developers and Testers in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.
How Youll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities) Candidates will assist in developing application functionality, implement solutions for diverse countries, participate in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process plus the support model to maximize and share learning.
Participate in daily calls to estimate, analyse, plan and develop required changes Assist in optimizing application performance.
Contribute to documentation of system architecture, design, and code.
Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with Java technologies and development trends.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications) Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of Java, Angular, SQL.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Participate in code reviews to learn and adhere to best practices.
What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills) Experience working in an Agile environment using SAFE Agile methodology is an added advantage.
