DescriptionOverview: CLS is currently going through an unprecedented and exciting period of growth and development and is now looking to add an additional experienced Microbiology Trainer to co-ordinate and support the development of our Microbiology Analysts at our Medpharma Lab.
This is an exciting opportunity to join CLS as a full-time employee.Founded in 1994, Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) is the highest accredited contract laboratory in Ireland, providing industry-leading sampling, analysis and fully trained micro and analytical analysts on contract to clients in the food, environmental, medical device, biopharmaceutical, and pharmaceutical sectors.We offer bespoke managed service solutions that provide analysts with the highest level of microbiology training in which the successful candidate will deliver.The Role: Microbiology Trainer.Location: Microbiology Laboratory, Medpharma, Tuam Road, Galway.Reporting to: Director of Microbiology Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport recruitment of analysts to the department – interviewing, onboarding etc.Training of analysts for the Department in all aspects of pharmaceutical and medical device microbiology including, EM, Endotoxin analysis, Bioburden, Water testing, etc.
in line with required schedules.Manage the day-to-day supervision of the current microbiology analysts prior to their placement with clients, including allocation, scheduling, and managing of required lab resources.Review analysts documentation, data, and lab investigations reports, deviations, etc.Adopt a coaching style, to encourage performance and confidence and provide feedback to analysts on how they are performing.Attend update meetings on the status of current analysts – Weekly reporting of trends and KPI management.Continuously work to improve our training structure and training modules identifying improved opportunities for learning and areas of efficiency etc.
Ensure adherence to all quality systems within the department on a daily basis i.e.
GMP and ISO 17025.Motivate employees to achieve targets and optimise the use of resources at all times.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Level 8 degreeMinimum of three years' good manufacturing practice experience, preferably at least one of which were at a similar level.Strong organisational and leadership skills.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.First aid certification is a plus.Competencies:A professional, pro-active approach with strong leadership skills and an ability to work efficiently under pressure.Be capable of working on your own initiative to motivate team.Well-developed people management skills.Effective communicator, both verbal and written.Have strong ability to critically review analytical data, excellent attention to detail is a must.Proven ability at effective decision-making with business focused results.What We Can Offer You:Competitive salary packageOpportunities for professional development and growth within a dynamic and rapidly expanding industryJoining a collaborative and innovative team dedicated to excellence in service delivery.
