Our client is a leading retail bank with head office in Dublin City Centre.
They are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Lead Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.
The FP&A Lead Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering monthly financial performance reports to senior management, the Executive Committee (ExCo), and the Board, as well as preparing the Bank's multi-year financial plan.
Main Responsibilities: Analyse and review monthly performance against budget.
Assist in creating financial presentations for senior management, ExCo, and the Board.
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the new Analplan budgeting and forecasting tool.
Conduct financial analysis of proposed commercial strategies, including sensitivity analysis and strategic evaluations.
Enhance the quality and effectiveness of financial analysis delivered to senior management.
Build cross-functional relationships to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent information flow.
Provide ad hoc support to senior management as required.
Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and multi-year financial forecasts.
Requirements: A relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Prior experience in an FP&A role or a position with significant financial analysis responsibilities.
Experience in a finance function within a financial institution is preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong commercial awareness.
In-depth understanding of performance drivers and balance sheet management.
Familiarity with financial valuation techniques.
