Position: Health & Safety and Quality Manager Responsibilities: Foster a culture of excellence in quality, health, and safety across the manufacturing site by implementing and upholding policies, guidelines, and processes.
Promote and support compliance with Health & Safety (H&S) and quality standards, driving continuous improvement in site performance.
Engage with the workforce to enhance skills and understanding in delivering world-class infrastructure.
Stay informed about the latest H&S and ISO standards, legislation, and updates.
Lead safety audits, analyze findings, and recommend actionable improvements.
Maintain and refine existing management systems, introducing enhancements as necessary.
Ensure all safety procedures are properly established, implemented, and followed, with the ability to develop new procedures when required.
Oversee the generation and secure storage of all required records.
Identify areas of risk, conduct assessments, and implement effective control measures.
Investigate accidents and incidents, tracking actions through to resolution.
Provide expert advice and support to colleagues on H&S and quality matters.
Conduct regular safety inspections, walks, and audits to ensure compliance with site procedures and legal requirements.
Manage internal and customer audits, including facilitating management reviews.
Oversee internal activities programs, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are recorded and communicated to relevant teams.
Support the resolution of quality issues by investigating problems, identifying root causes, and implementing cost-effective corrective and preventative actions.
Maintain accurate documentation and perform statistical analyses to produce detailed monthly reports.
Collaborate with the management team to drive safety and quality improvements through continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver training programs to new hires and existing staff on H&S and quality-related topics.
Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Experience: Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Quality, or Compliance Standards.
Familiarity with ISO standards; internal auditor qualification is advantageous.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Proven track record in implementing and improving H&S and quality systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience in training and engaging teams in H&S and quality initiatives.
