We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected civil engineering contractor for an exciting new project in Donegal.
Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of quantity surveying for civil engineering projects, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money.
Prepare detailed bills of quantities, cost estimates, and budgets for civil works.
Conduct site measurements, assessments, and valuations to determine project progress and resource requirements.
Work closely with the project management team to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare tender submissions and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Handle change orders, variations, and contract claims efficiently and accurately.
Prepare reports for senior management on project cost performance and forecast budgets.
Qualifications & Experience: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering/construction sector Strong knowledge of civil engineering contracts (e.g., NEC, FIDIC) and industry standards.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
