Responsibilities:Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, troubleshooting, standardizing and improving existing production methods and procedures.A strong focus will be on supporting Injection Moulding polymer processes.Take a lead role in the troubleshooting, repair and rebuild of both Hot runner and Cold runner systems.Maintain a critical spares inventory for key Injection Moulding maintenance items to minimize downtime.Perform preventative maintenance and repair on Injection Moulding equipment.Execution of mould changeovers and equipment setups as part of production runs.Assist in investigating and implementing new production methods.Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment, changes and improvements.Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing. Interface with a variety of company personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.Communicate any concerns about work processes regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager.Assist in maintaining a clean, safe working environment.Be aware of the impact maintenance may have on the energy performance of equipment, particularly equipment which is a significant energy user.Be aware of the impact maintenance may have on equipment safety features and the potential safety risks or hazards due to the removal or alteration of such features.Adhere to Plant Safety requirements and Health & Safety requirements relating to your work, assuming responsibility for those aspects of the OH&S System over which you have control to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.Be aware of the potential environmental impacts associated with your work and the implications of non-conformance.Contribute to enhanced energy performance by conservation of energy where possible (Lighting, Equipment, Air Conditioning, etc).Contribute to the continual improvement activities of the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management systems through participation, providing feedback/suggestions for improvement and by reporting accidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses/illnesses, good catches, and environmental incidents in a timely manner.Keep your skills current and be conversant with the latest developments in technologies and materials which are relevant to the Company's business.Take on other duties which the Company may assign you from time to time. These 'other duties' will be agreed with Management prior to any assignment.Qualifications:Ideally FETAC Level 6 qualification, ideally in Polymer Engineering or equivalent.Strong hands-on knowledge of Injection Moulding equipment and processes.Knowledge of injection mould tooling, polymer materials & validations.General manufacturing processing knowledge with at least 2 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Medical Device industry experience is a distinct advantage.Good technical capabilities, writing skills, communication skills, teamwork abilities, and initiative.Proven ability to work well both as part of a team but also able to work on own with minimum supervision.The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
