Location: Nethercross Day Care Centre, Tolka Valley, Finglas Dublin 11 Reporting to: Centre Manager Terms: Permanent Contract - 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Hourly Rate: €15.00 per hour Job Purpose: Work with the Centre Manager and the multi-disciplinary team as required.
To provide a safe and friendly transport service to clients of our Day Care Centre.
Responsibilities: Driver:              To provide a safe and friendly transport service to clients of our Day Care Centre.
To assist clients with embarking and disembarking from the bus.
To assist clients with safe movement to/from bus to home and centre.
To ensure the cleanliness of the bus and to keep records for the bus.
Ensure the safety of the bus by completing regular checks.
To maintain CPC and other training as required.
Multitask Attendant: Developing a positive caring relationship with all clients.
Escorting and assisting clients within the centre.
Assist with the day-to-day running of the centre.
Assist with and maintain hygiene standards of the centre.
To assist our Care staff with clients' needs in the service.
To work with the Centre Manager and the multi-disciplinary team as required.
Any other duties as required.
Qualifications/Experience: Hold a current clean full D1 Irish driver's licence CPC certified Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills Experience in working with older people Aptitude and empathy with older people Person Specification:   Previous experience of working with older persons or persons with disabilities Good communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrate a genuine interest in people Team player and flexibility in their attitude to work Show an aptitude and empathy in relating with older persons Closing date for applications is Friday, 4th October 2024
