The purpose of this role is to identify new site opportunities for DAYBREAK as part of New Business Project, to evaluate the viability of these new business opportunities and to engage the relevant stakeholders to bring these opportunities to fruition for the business.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following: Design, develop and implement suitable strategies for new site business recruitment.
Ensure that the market intelligence gathering process is robust and comprehensive, embracing all elements including competitor analysis, demographic trends, market trends, etc.
Carry out business analysis to identify areas of potential growth in sales, margin and profit in target stores.
Develop business case sign offs for the DAYBREAK Business Development forum.
Support elements of the store opening program post project sign off.
The successful candidate will possess all or most of the following: A relevant third level qualification e.g., Business/Marketing/Finance degree.
3+ years experience of working in a senior food retail management position coupled with a knowledge of the franchise retail model and understanding of the independent retail sector.
Ability to understand commercial operating models and business performance drivers and metrics.
Negotiation and business relationship building skills.
Be highly numeric & analytical.
