It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities.
Businesses managed by the NTMA include borrowing for the Exchequer and the management of the National Debt, the State Claims Agency, the New Economy and Recovery Authority, the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, National Development Finance Agency and the NTMA Future Ireland Funds business unit with responsibility for the management of the Future Ireland Fund and Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund.
The NTMA also assigns staff to the National Asset Management Agency, the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) and Home Building Finance Ireland (HBFI).

The ICT Security & Networks Administrator will assist in the installation, configuration and management of networking and data communications infrastructure on premise and support a managed cloud tenancy.
The role will also assist in the management of ICT Security technologies with a strong focus on network management, response to security system alerts and suspicious network activity.
The role also requires the individual to maintain knowledge of relevant technical systems and professional certifications, keeping up to date on ICT Security and Network trends, ICT Security and Network risks and process innovations and their application to the security of the Agency's business systems.
Principal Accountabilities The ICT Security & Networks Administrator will participate in managing and maintaining a secure network infrastructure and communication systems across the Agency with a strong emphasis on availability, security practices and monitoring tools.
Duties will include, but not limited to, assisting with the following tasks: Installation and support of wired and wireless network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, load balancing, network access management and other network security elements Ensure the reliable operation and integrity of network nodes and communication systems Troubleshoot and analyse network security on various technologies Monitor security system logs and reports for anomalies and problems Support network security and system auditing and vulnerability assessments activities Participate in vulnerability management remediation and mitigation Assist in evaluation of the security of new products and services (on premise and cloud services) Participate in scheduled out of hours on-call support for ICT Operations on a rotational Basis Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Computing, Engineering or equivalent qualification or experience Certification/Qualifications in industry recognised Network and Security disciplines The following would be a distinct advantage: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet Certifications, Checkpoint CCSA, Palo Alto Microsoft Network, Security, or Cloud certifications Any relevant networking and IT security qualifications Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a network administration role for a medium size organisation Solid knowledge and understanding of LAN, WAN, DMZ, VPN and DNS network technologies and protocols Solid experience supporting network configuration management solutions and network security solutions Working experience with multiple security technologies such as CICSO, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Experience with cloud-based security solutions and best practices Experience of hybrid cloud environments and integration Experience with web and email content filters, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) Experience working with ticketing tools for Incident, Change & Problem Management Solid understanding cloud networking and security concepts Experience in the following areas would be a distinct advantage: Experience with network security management tools such as SIEM and NDR Experience with Access and Identity Management and Privileged Assessment Management solutions Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall, and Azure Security Centre.

Pension Abatement If an appointee has previously been employed in the Civil or Public Service and that appointee is entitled to or in receipt of a pension from the Civil or Public Service or where a Civil/Public Service pension comes into payment during the appointee's re-employment that pension will be subject to abatement in accordance with Section 52 of the Public Service Pensions (Single Scheme and other Provisions) Act 2012.
