Network Repair Engineering (NRE) strategy is based on making automation and technology multipliers for Google Network Operations (GNO). We operate one of the most reliable core networks based on an automated repair framework embedded in our repair systems and processes.
In this role, you will work with a mix of global core network engineering and software development to build software solutions and introduce technology which impactfully improves the Google network reliability and operational cost.
ResponsibilitiesAutomate the lifecycle of the Google global core network repair with minimum human interactions so we can reduce the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), human error, and operational cost.Partner with software engineering teams to continuously innovate and deliver repair-focused software systems and services, reducing manual toil and MTTR.Build and leverage other repair automation infrastructures from partner software engineering teams to complement and consolidate our own network repair automation stack.Support and maintain the NRE software services, and set requirements and define the design of software applications related to network repair.Adopt new technology for solutions to enable repair evolution of our global core network and operationalize new core network technology so they can be introduced to production for next generation features, lower cost, and efficiency.Equal Opportunity EmployerGoogle is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
