About The Role Duties and Responsibilities of the Role: Ensure all kitchen areas, including worktops, equipment, floors, and storage areas, are thoroughly cleaned to meet hotel standards.
Clean, wash, and sanitize all pots, pans, cutlery, and kitchen tools, ensuring they are ready for breakfast and lunch service.
Take special care in cleaning delicate equipment (e.g., silverware, glassware).
Clean and restock dishwashers for the next day's operation.
Assist chefs in organizing kitchen tools and restocking supplies as required.
Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene protocols are strictly followed, ensuring the kitchen is prepped for service.
Maintain the highest level of cleanliness, aligning with the standards of the hotel.
Comply with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, ensuring the kitchen meets legal requirements.
Ensure compliance with all waste disposal and recycling guidelines in an eco-friendly manner, aligning with the hotel's sustainability goals.
Handle, clean, and maintain all kitchen equipment safely.
Report any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or safety hazards to the night manager for prompt repair.
Regularly deep clean ovens, stoves, and other kitchen appliances.
Work closely with night staff and the kitchen team to ensure smooth handover to the morning team members.
Support hotel staff and other night porters as needed to maintain the standards.
Requirements for the role: Prior experience as a Kitchen Porter is beneficial.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform tasks that may require lifting and carrying.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in food preparation and kitchen cleaning.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions from the kitchen staff.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a positive work environment.
