We are seeking an operationally focused Finance Analyst to join our HID Global Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Operations for our Citizen Identification (CID) Global Business Area, the successful candidate will ensure our financial reporting is effective and aligns with business objectives. In addition, this position will support our monthly management reporting. This business is experiencing rapid organic growth and growth by acquisition. You will therefore also be involved in providing financial support for relevant acquisitions.

As our Operations Accountant, you'll support HID's success by: Cost accountingManaging the manufacturing monthly close process, including monthly stock analysis and group reportingMaintaining standard costs on the system, reviewing purchase price variances, standard cost revaluations and other system variancesReviewing product and project costings, ensuring job costings are in line with site budgetsProviding manufacturing variance analysis to management team as requiredProviding overhead / CAPEX analysis support to management teamProviding ad hoc operational control & financial analysis data as required.Project accountingEnsuring revenue is recognised in line with IFRS 15, including preparation, analysis and posting of revenue journalsReviewing customer contracts for terms which may affect when revenue can be recognisedWorking with Program Managers to track ongoing project profitabilityPreparing inputs to forecasting and budgetary cyclePreparing account reconciliations for project related balance sheet accountsReportingSupporting management reporting / forecasting cycles and deliver business partnership capability as requiredAssisting in the preparation of monthly performance review slidesSupporting ad hoc reporting requests as requiredTeamCollaborating with (multiple sites):General ledger & shared service teams to ensure accurate financial reportingWider global finance team to gain alignment on accounting treatments across HID for such specialist topics as project accounting, standard costing etc.Other key stakeholders, including sales team & program management officeProcess & SystemsWorking with corporate finance team, assist in the review design and implementation of financial processes in compliance with Corporate policies and controlsProactively collaborating across multifunctional teams to create an environment that strives for global consistency of best practicesAssisting with the integration of acquisitionsWhat we will love about your background: Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writingA second European language is an advantageProficient with MS Office applicationsConsiderable experience of ERP systems - Oracle a distinct advantageA working understanding of standard BI tools - Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) an advantageA proven track record of setting priorities, managing expectations and delivering on commitmentsStrong team player who thrives working both cross-functionally and globally, with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsEnergetic and analytical with a positive approach to problem solvingAbility to translate data into actionable informationAptitude for adapting and performing in a constantly changing environmentStrong presentation skills including previous experience presenting to senior executivesYour Experience and Education include: Bachelor's degree in Finance, AccountingRecognised professional qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA2 to 3 years' experience gained in an international company / multi-cultural environmentExperience of manufacturing environment is essentialStandard costings & variance analysis is desirableExperience of project accounting is desirableWork requirements: Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systemsTravel and fieldwork, including international travel may be requiredMust be legally eligible to work in IrelandFlexibility around month end / forecasting deadlines including public holidaysWhy apply?
