As an Operations Control Duty Manager in the Operations Control Department, you will be based in the Operations Control Centre (OCC) and be accountable and responsible for the real-time management and leadership of the Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus UK daily operation.
Responsible for operational leadership of OCC teams from multiple disciplines and departments and the wider operational teams to deliver the commercial flight schedule, on-time performance and operations KPIs.
You will be accountable and responsible for maintaining the integrity of the schedule during irregular operations to avoid, mitigate or contain disruptions and lead teams to deliver excellence in recovery of the end-to-end customer journey.
This role is an on-site position, working rostered duties on a 24x7, 365-day basis.
Your responsibilities as an Operations Control Duty Manager will include:Manage the daily schedule incorporating safety, punctuality, service and cost to ensure best utilisation of aircraft and other operational resources.Develop and manage schedule delivery processes to meet punctuality targets and operational KPIs in line with our commitment to our customers and contributing to VOC and NPS.Detect and predict conditions of a potentially disruptive nature, having significant business impact and or brand reputation risk and devise plans and action solutions, which will avoid, correct or recover from the problem.Ensure all relevant sections, departments, outside agencies and the senior management team are provided with up-to-date and accurate real-time operational information.Manage the planning process for the following days schedule taking account of commercial, customer and maintenance requirements, in compliance with crew regulations, weather forecasts, airport status and air traffic service (ATS) requirements and establish priorities for operational delivery.As primary contact for receipt of information on safety and security incidents throughout the network, initiate procedures including corporate crisis management activation and manage the initial crisis response.Activate the Disruption Management Framework and Business Continuity Plans as required and lead the operational response on same.Manage ACMI operations in accordance with interface / contracted agreements.Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among the various teams within the OCC and across the Network.Utilise data to support decision making and provide detailed reports and analysis on each day's completed operation.Your qualifications and key criteriaWe are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
Minimum 5 years' experience in airline operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role within an Operations Control Centre.Bachelor's degree in related discipline or Dispatch License or Initial Flight Operations Officer Certificate (ICOA 10106 / EASA.ORO.GEN 110(c).Strong knowledge of airline operations, including flight planning, dispatch, crewing and aircraft scheduling.In depth knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards with strong understanding of safety management systems (SMS) and risk management principles.Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross functional teams.Ability to assess problems and make clear-cut and evaluated decisions quickly.Demonstrated analytical and creative ability to develop optimum solutions to schedule problems, within the many internal and external constraints that exist.Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to establish positive relationships.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the proven ability to present facts and opinions effectively and efficiently.High level of commercial awareness and customer focus.Strong organisational skills combined with high levels of initiative, teamwork, flexibility and commitment.Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to deliver under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.Energetic individual who is personally driven to working to deadlines.Comfortable working with IT applications combined with the ability to learn new skills quickly.Proficiency in using airline operations software and systems.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Eligible to live and work in the EU.Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.Closing Date: 21st of October 2024 Division / DepartmentOperations - Operations Control
