Job SummaryZLAP is looking for an Operations Governance Specialist to provide support to the function across business resilience, third party assurance, data governance, and first line internal controls in meeting governance and assurance requirements. This first line role sits within a newly formed Life Operations Governance function. 

The successful candidate will work across all areas of the business and work with multiple stakeholders, in particular working closely with multiple stakeholders across the business. 
You will have the opportunity to enhance operational governance in line with both Group-driven external requirements, and local regulatory demands. 
Your RoleAs an Operations Governance Specialist your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
• Provide support in the delivery of the business and operational resilience program (including updated Business Impact Assessments, Business Continuity Plans, testing and exercising).
• Provide support in the oversight of the third-party governance framework in line with Group standards.
• Support the implementation of any third party and outsourcing change processes including alignment to governance requirements including third party, CBI guidance, group requirements and other regulatory guidelines.
• Support data and information governance in the oversight of relevant policies, controls, regulations, and guidance.
• Provide oversight of the first line controls testing framework, working with first line functions to support Control Testers.
• Perform internal controls quality assurance (QA) reviews to drive greater quality controls design, execution, greater efficiency, and rationalization.
Your Skills and ExperienceAs an Operations Governance Specialist your skills and qualifications will include: 
• Professional Qualification and experience in the following fields; internal controls, risk management, quality assurance and/or internal/external audit;
• Knowledge and understanding of governance/assurance processes and control environments.
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong client focus, combined with analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Effective relationship management skills;
• Proven track record in delivering key objectives, with a demonstrated ability to 'take ownership' in managing multiple tasks; and
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and complete deliverables as assigned by the Head of Operations Governance.
Additional InformationPrimary work location is Blackrock. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
