About the role: Flogas is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our LPG Division.
The LPG Division provides home heating and cylinder gas solutions to domestic and commercial customers nationwide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that we drive operational efficiencies and safety standards across the LPG business. The Operations Manager will effectively manage, with the support of site leads at all locations, the LPG operational activities and processes, stock management, maintenance and safety systems across company operated sites which include marine terminals in Belfast, Drogheda & Cork and cylinder filling plants in Belfast, Mallow and Tullow. The position will report to the Operations Director and can be based in either Belfast or Dublin (please note initially it will be based in our current head office in Drogheda but will relocate to Dublin Airport Central in the New Year) and will also require travel to all LPG sites and terminals on a regular basis. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team including, terminal managers, site supervisors, engineers and operational staff. Plan and execute both large and small-scale projects from design, implementation, and post launch analysis. Ensure statutory and technical compliance across all Flogas operational sites. Ensure that safe practices and procedures are followed at all COMAH sites. Development and implementation of both internal and external emergency plans. Champion a culture of safety and compliance throughout the Operations department. Effective development and management of cost and capex budgets, actively participating in the annual financial planning and budgeting process. Promote a culture striving for continuous improvement and support group-wide initiatives which add value to service delivery. Act as a key contact for all regulatory and statutory bodies. Manage all KPI's (Key performance indicators) and PSPI's (Process Safety Performance Indicators) across operational depots in relation to efficiencies and maintenance. Interpret and leverage data insights for constantly enhancing our service. Develop and implement a comprehensive training policy for all terminal and filling plant staff and contractors. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate is an operations leader with several years' experience in site management within the gas or similar safety-regulated industry.
With a degree in engineering or equivalent, they excel in driving operational efficiencies, safety, and compliance.
They are skilled in team leadership, project management, and data-driven decision-making.
This candidate fosters strong internal and external relationships, ensures regulatory compliance, and champions a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all LPG operations.
