As Operations Manager, you will support the General Manager by overseeing the day-to-day running of our hostel Clink i Lár. This is a key role as part of the senior management team.
No two days are the same especially in a 630 bed hostel but to be fair, that's a bit boring anyway right? As part of the senior management team, you will be curating and maintaining processes and procedures, coming up with creative ideas to promote sales and events within the hostel space, making sure that all outlets run smoothly and much more.

Your key responsibilities will be: Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support the wider team in a busy and sometimes demanding environment. You will be overseeing multiple departments and will be supported by two heads of departments. Hold regular department meetings to ensure clear communication and expectations.Guest Experience: Champion the guest experience, identify opportunities to enhance the experience during a guest's stay whether through a seamless check-in, tasty breakfast, fun events, clean and safe rooms; all these touchpoints are important. You will liaise with a wider Clink Creative team to ensure our guests have a memorable time with us.Financial: Collaborate with the leadership team to set accurate costing and pricing for all menu products. Handle all financial processes, investigating discrepancies to ensure accuracy and ensuring stock is monitored and accounted for. Understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles.Reporting: Review and act on all data and metrics such as guest reviews, financial reservation, stock and compliance data promptly.Systems: Be a super user of our tech, understand what system is used for what purpose, be the point of contact if a team member is unsure of something.Compliance: Ensure health, safety, fire, and HACCP compliance and that all team compliance training is up to date. Comfortable with legal and regulatory processes to ensure company compliance.Who are you? You are someone who is passionate about travel and can relate to our guests. Ideally, you come from a large accommodation volume property and see strong organisational skills as one of your strengths. You are process-driven with two or more years' experience in an operations management or senior management role. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
