AWS Infrastructure is looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical, Supply Chain Manager with demonstrated experience driving process improvement.
This role manages (contract manufacturing) vendor(s) critical to the successful fulfilment of hardware to AWS data centres globally. The role is primarily responsible for Site Performance (output, quality, efficiency, costs), CM Partner Relationship Management. The primary performance metrics associated with this role are target daily / weekly output, SLA adherence as an input to AIS Capacity Delivery Reliability (CDR), First Pass Yield and on-time NPI readiness for all rack types enabled within the region. Secondary metrics include staffed site capacity utilization, Clear-To-Build, server bone-pile, and Racks-in-Transit (RIT).
Key job responsibilitiesDay-to-day management responsibility for high velocity assembly operationsAct as point of escalation for all vendor related issuesManage vendor operational excellence through data driven metrics and continuous improvement activitiesDrive cross-functional strategic initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency and overall cost structureDrive complex business analysis to identify business opportunities to improve internal and external processesWork cross-functionally to identify and apply best practices and continuous process improvementsInfluence internal technical teams to drive multisystem process & system changesProvide scalable solutions for continued scale product and service offeringsSet project requirements and drive results across internal and externalDrive continuous improvement initiatives to lower risks and reduce lead times.Influence partner processes, technologies, and policies to achieve mutual benefits for both organizations in a sustainable manner.Analyze production schedules and demand forecasts, ensuring our customer requirements are met, whilst maximizing site utilizationBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain or related fields10+ years of experience in Supply chain management/Vendor managementExperience in data centers products mfg. or infrastructure service provider, or manufacturingAbility to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively manage multiple projects at the same timePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMBA or advanced degree in supply chain management, logistics, or other business related disciplineSupply chain, inventory management, finance, vendor and/or project management experienceStrong proficiency in analysis tools including Microsoft Excel, SQL, and statistics softwareProven ability to manage large and complicated projects with experience leading cross-functional projects and teamsProfessional experience influencing internal and external partnersAPICS and/or IBF certification (preferred)- Exposure to Lean & Six Sigma toolsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
