Operations Manager, Portarlington

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operational requirements and service levels are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and organise teams to meet operational requirements and service levels.
Identify training needs and implement plans to address them.
Manage team members to maintain high working standards.
Solve problems effectively and ensure teams are fully trained and compliant with health and safety policies, including manual handling and fire evacuation procedures.
Oversee shift Health and Safety issues in line with company guidelines.
Manage temporary employees by monitoring performance, providing briefings, and motivating them to meet performance criteria.
Develop and maintain effective local working relationships within company procedures and policies.
Handle daily reporting and scheduling as necessary.
Follow and implement company policies and procedures.
Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
The Successful Candidate Must Have: A commercially acceptable level of English (spoken and written).
Proficiency in computer use (Excel, Email, Reporting platforms, CRM systems).
At least 3 years of previous management experience.
Excellent timekeeping and safety awareness.
Knowledge of Irish geography and specific depot coverage areas.
Previous experience in the logistics industry.
Strong problem-solving and people management skills.
Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Certification.
Experience in people development.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
