Location: Cluain Mhuire Services Initial Base: DETECT, Avila House, Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock and the Crisis Resolution Service, Centre for Living, Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock Cluain Mhuire is a national center of innovation in public mental health service provision delivering a community based adult mental health service for the South East Coast of Co. Dublin to a catchment area of some 182,000 people approximately.In addition to general adult mental health services, Cluain Mhuire provides early intervention in psychosis, ADHD, gender and general hospital mental health services.
Outreach Worker in Addiction Support for Early Intervention in Psychosis and Crisis Resolution Services Full Time, Permanent ?
Saint John of God Community Services: DETECT Early Intervention in Psychosis Service and the Crisis Resolution Service, are now inviting applications for the post of Outreach worker.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users.
Role Summary This new post of outreach worker in addiction support is a key component of the development of two specialist services providing rapid and timely access to mental healthcare.
DETECT is Irelands longest established Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service, providing specialist assessment and psychosocial interventions for individuals experiencing a First Episode of Psychosis (FEP) and their families.
The Crisis Resolution Service (CRS) is a new multidisciplinary service established in 2022, providing rapid access to specialist assessment and treatment pathways for individuals presenting in psychological crisis.
This role will support the care provision for individuals experiencing substance misuse and addiction difficulties and a mental illness.
The outreach worker will work as part of the EIP & CRS team with the aim of improving the health of those experiencing addiction and acute mental illness.
They will offer professional advice, support and proactively engage with service users, including linking them with relevant support services as required.
Within the multidisciplinary team led by the Consultant Psychiatrist, the outreach worker will plan interventions and coordination the provision of addiction supports to individuals on their caseloads.
They will participate in new initiatives, including developing group-based and family supports.
They will contribute to the evaluation of new initiatives with the support of the multidisciplinary team.
Minimum Requirements Candidates must have at the latest date of application: - (a)Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: (i)Hold a qualification at Level 7 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) maintained by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) in a Health or Social Care profession.
Or (ii)Are registered, or are eligible for registration, in the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI](Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann).
And (iii)Have a minimum of two years post qualification fulltime experience (or an aggregate of two years post qualification experience) working with service users in an addiction setting.
And (b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and administrative ability, for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Initial location The initial location of this role is DETECT, Avila House, Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock and the Crisis Resolution Service, Centre for Living, Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock.
However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG Community Services other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG Community Service may require.
You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
